UN Youth New Zealand is the youth arm of the UN Association of NZ, a member of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA). WFUNA has consultative status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
Established in 1999, UN Youth aims to inspire global citizens through its Model UN and educational programmes. Young people are educated about the processes and values of the UN while also engaging with like-minded peers and learning to express themselves. With regions in Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury and Otago, around 1000 high school and university students will participate in a UN Youth event each year.
UN Youth membership is free for students, teachers and young people under the age of 25 or studying full-time at university. Please visit our website, join our facebook group and register online for free membership.
