We've teamed up with Hui E! Community Aotearoa to create an opportunity for civil society groups, and other interested sectors, to come together in preparation for and ahead of the SDG Summit on Monday, 23 April.
Please note: This event is free for civil society groups and students (koha) and we ask for a small fee from representatives from other sectors wishing to attend.
Welcome and introductions
Keynote presentations (10 minutes each) followed by an interview style Q&A with the audience facilitated by Gill Greer
- Andrea Carmen, International Indian Treaty Council, speaking about an indigenous perspective on SDGs at a global grassroots level (Andrea is a keynote speaker at the SDG conference)
- Hinewirangi Kohu-Morgan speaking on a wahine Māori perspective on SDGs
- Pedram Pirnia, UNA NZ Special Officer for SDGs, focusing on challenges of cultivating and measuring the progress of the SDGs
Afternoon tea break (provided)
Facilitated discussion towards a community sector position on the SDGs
